In response to the mass fish kills in 2019, Millewa Pumping was contracted by NSW Fisheries to design and establish aeration systems aimed at oxygenating water in crucial refuges of the Darling-Baaka River. These initiatives successfully safeguarded numerous native fish, including Murray Cod, during an extended drought period.
