Trusted

NSW DPI Fisheries / Charles Sturt University

"On behalf of DPI NSW Fisheries, I wish to thank Millewa Pumping for their assistance in preventing escalation of fish death events that occurred in the Darling River near Menindee over the summer of 2018-19 and 2019-2020.

The fish deaths in nearby stretches of the Darling occurred due to hypoxia (loss of dissolved oxygen which is required by fish), linked with sudden weather-driven mixing of stratified water-bodies."

Iain Ellis, Fisheries Manager NSW DPI Fisheries, and Professor Darren Baldwin, Charles Sturt University.

Nature Foundation - South Australia

"We have utilised Millewa Pumping's services at a number of different locations over the last two years.

Most recently Millewa attended a private property in the Riverland, assessed the site and advised on a suitable pump. The pump was delivered on time and the team setting up was very professional.

The pump operated as predicted and we were able to successfully complete our project on time and on budget. Millewa have always been very flexible and respectful to work with. They have a great knowledge of their equipment and different ways to deliver water to tricky sites.

Importantly they share our ethos of caring for the environment so that we can maintain a healthy working river for all.
